They say an invisible string ties together those who are destined to meet, no matter the time, place, or distance. From the first unexpected moment our paths crossed, that unseen thread quietly pulled us closer weaving a story of love we never saw coming, but now can’t imagine life without. Our string was first tied in 2018 at Clemson University. Connor and Madison met when they were both founding members of the Clemson University Sales Club. Madison also attended some of Connor’s wine nights and both thought highly of each other but were strictly friends. The invisible string finally connected Madison and Connor both together again in 2024, 6 years after they first met, when they both attended the 150th Kentucky derby as part of the same group invited by mutual friends. They both had a great time catching up with each other at the derby and long car ride to and from. Connor decided to message Madison after the derby, and they haven’t stopped talking since. Since they were reconnected their relationship has been nothing short of adventurous, fun, deep, and most importantly rooted in their shared faith. They have explored all over the US together: 15 states, 3 national parks, countless trips to Chick-Fil-A, Nascar races, many concerts, and tons of laughter. Connor realized that Madison was truly the love of his life and couldn’t spend his life with anyone else. On July 12th, 2025, Connor got down on one knee in Clemson (right where it all began) and asked Madison to marry him.
