FAQs

Question

How and when do I RSVP?

Answer

We’re requesting our family and friends RSVP by September 19th, 2025. This will help us plan for a beautiful day of celebration. It's easy to RSVP from this website. Locate the RSVP tab and type your name in the box. You will be prompted to RSVP for the events that correspond to your invitation. All guests are invited to the Ceremony that begins at 4 pm. This includes the cake and punch reception in the First Baptist Church Parlor immediately following the ceremony. We want to share this special moment with you, make memories, hug your neck and enjoy some cake.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that our guests please arrive 15-30 minutes before our ceremony at 4:00 PM. This allows for adequate time to find parking, your seat, and mingle!

Question

What will people be wearing?

Answer

We love an excuse to get dressed up and have a ball! Our wedding will be Formal/Black Tie Optional. What is the world does that mean? Gentlemen, if you have a tuxedo, pull it out of the closet and put it on. No tuxedo, no problem, a suit and tie will look sharp too. All we ask is no jeans. Ladies, this is your chance to shine! Take that beautiful dress out of the closet and give it a night out. A long dress, formal cocktail dress, or dressy pantsuit are a chic option.

Question

May I bring a date or guest?

Answer

Guests attending the wedding ceremony and joining us in the Parlor for cake and punch are welcome to bring additional guests. Throughout the wedding weekend there are smaller events planned before and after the wedding. Guests invited to these smaller events will receive a separate invitation. Due to the size of the venues, we respectfully ask that only the guests named on the invitation attend.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Thank you for asking. Yes, we are! You can visit our registry on our website by visiting the "Registry" page linked above. We are also registered at Dillard's under our names (Madison Matlock and Cole Rodriguez).

Question

What about Kids?

Answer

We love your children and happily invite them to the Wedding Ceremony and for yummy cake and punch in the church Parlor. For your convenience, there will be a staffed nursery at the church for younger children and a "cry room" at the back of the church for any of our tiny guests who need a change of scenery during the ceremony. Our videographer kindly requests that vocal little ones be taken outside or to one of the areas provided for children if they get upset.

Question

Staying in Big Spring? Here's some dining recommendations.

Answer

We recommend the Settles Grill in the Hotel Settles! Some of Madison's favorite items include the Fried Brussel Sprouts and Crawfish Fritters. In West Texas, you can't go wrong with a Chicken Fried Steak either. If you're wanting to enjoy a cocktail, check out the Pharmacy Bar & Parlor in the Hotel Settles as well. We will have our signature cocktails available all weekend long!
