How did we meet?

Well it all began with simple question, Do you want to dance? Madison and her friend decided to throw a little dance party. Little did she know that her future husband, Colby, would tag along with a friend, who was tagging along with another friend and come to this party. They met, and later she saw him off to the side just observing the crowd and thought she’d see if he wanted to dance. After showing him a few Merengue steps, he quickly fell in love. Just kidding! Although, that night he noticed Madison as she was with some friends and wondered if he had just met the love of his life without knowing it. They both left the party and didn’t see each other until 3 months later. During that time, for some reason, in the back of Colby’s mind, he would think of her. She wasn’t like any other sister he had ever met before. There was something different and special about her. Time passes and finally Colby’s curiosity gets the better of him, and he invites Madison and some of their friends to go on a day trip. This trip was just a beginning of a friendship that would turn into love. Madison had never laughed so hard while listening to Colby tell all of his cheesy jokes, he definitely caught her eye. A few weeks later, Madison gets a surprise on her front porch-a sweet smelling package. It happens to be her favorite dessert, banana bread! And who is it from? Colby, and he baked it himself. He had remembered her say that it was her favorite. It was a bold move, on purpose. Some time later after speaking with each other and praying about it, they decided to start dating. For the next 10 months, they shared endless laughter, many good times, and their love blossomed. They enjoyed each of their Bethel assignments, even getting to work directly together preparing a Gilead meal. They were both delighted to see spiritual qualities and goals in each other that they knew they wanted in a mate. Colby knew that Madison was the one for him. Colby got to work secretly planning a sweet surprise proposal. She said yes! Now as they look forward to embarking on their next adventure as a married couple, they want to thank each of you for everything you have done for them. Many of you are the ones in their congregations who have helped raise them or the ones who have given them support or advice when entering this new phase of life. Your love, kindness, and generosity is greatly appreciated!
