The formal invitation you will be receiving will clarify whether a guest/kids will be included. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you. If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly.
For the wedding, we invite you to dress in formal attire, with black tie optional. Think elegant dresses or suits to help us create a beautiful atmosphere for this special celebration.
In June, you can expect pleasant weather in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with average temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to mid-80s °F (around 18-30 °C). It’s typically warm and sunny, but occasional rain showers are possible, so we recommend being prepared for both.
The wedding ceremony will be held indoors at Central Reformed Church. For the reception, we’ll gather at Cascade Hills Country Club, where the cocktail hour will take place under a tent. The reception will be indoors, but there’s a lovely outdoor patio with beautiful views of the golf course for everyone to enjoy.
After the wedding ceremony, guests can head to Cascade Hills Country Club, just a short 10-minute drive from the church. While the immediate family and wedding party take pictures for about an hour, drinks and appetizers will be ready for you at the cocktail hour. We will then transition into dinner and dancing, creating a memorable evening!
Transportation from Central Reformed Church to Cascade Hills Country Club will not be provided, so you will need to arrange transportation to the church and the reception. Valet parking will be provided upon your arrival at the country club.
To RSVP, please use this website or the QR code that will be included in your invitation, which will be sent out later in the year. We truly hope you can celebrate with us on our special day!
Due to the capacity of the venue, we sadly cannot accommodate additional guests, including children. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on the invitation. Thank you for your understanding!
Yes, we have two hotel blocks for out-of-town guests: one in downtown Grand Rapids and another in the charming town of Ada. Please visit the travel section on this website for more information about the hotel blocks. We look forward to seeing you!
During the cocktail hour, we will be serving light hors d'oeuvres and drinks. This will be followed by a delicious dinner, complete with a wine pairing, and of course, dessert. We can’t wait to share this special meal with you.
Yes, there will be an open bar! We’ll be offering wine, beer, and mixed drinks at no cost to guests. Cheers to a great celebration!
We love photos! However, we kindly ask that you refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony, as we would like that time to be unplugged. For the rest of the wedding, we encourage you to take and share pictures on social media. We are also inviting our guests to use our wedding hashtag and/or QR code provided so we can enjoy them as well.
