Christian and Madison grew up in the same town and went to the same schools. However, Christian was 2 years old than Madison so their paths never crossed. During his senior year, Christian decided to join the One Act team. He and Madison met at the first practice and the rest is history.

Christian planned to propose during a trip to Charleston, SC. He was going to pick the ring up a few days in advance so that he would have everything ready. Well.....the ring was not ready in time, but he didn't want Madison to catch onto what was happening so they left town anyway. Christian's family wanted him to be able to propose in a special place so his cousins Andy and Sam picked up the ring in Roanoke, VA and brought it to Christian's mom (Mary Beth) and brother (Canaan) in Wytheville, VA. Then, Mary Beth and Canaan drove the ring all the way to Charleston, SC. They got in town around 9pm on June 17th and met Christian with the ring at a gas station. Christian was so excited he drove back to Madison and proposed at their Airbnb.....and it was perfect.
