From growing up together in the same church, going on family vacations together, dating in high school, experiencing college together, up to now. We have been at each other's side for so many stages of life, and we can't wait to continue walking through life together! September 12, 2015: This was our first date. We went to Grand Rapids and spent the morning walking around Art Prize. 2017-2020: This is our time in college together. Most of our time spent together was hanging out with friends, playing intramural sports, going on study dates, and watching Carter's baseball games. We both had extremely busy schedules but made it a priority to spend every Sunday together. June 17, 2021: This is the day we got engaged. Carter spent weeks planning and preparing this special night. I had planned to meet my sister at her house to go to dinner. When I pulled into her driveway, I saw Carter standing in the backyard with the most thoughtful setup (pictured below). This included a walkway of strung lights that led to him, a "marry me" sign, two dozen roses, and a display of pictures of us throughout the years. He read me a letter he wrote before getting down on one knee. We spent the rest of the night celebrating with people we love the most!
