In March of 2019 we officially met one another through mutual friends at Treefort in downtown Boise. A few instagram DMs were shared until meeting up in McCall for the 4th of July. That following Monday we had our first date at Bardenay(still our favorite date night spot) where Carson ordered a huckleberry martini and asked for it in a less girly glass. After a long 5 hour Drive to McCall to celebrate labor day, Carson finally asked to be official. We celebrated our first 6 months together up in sun valley only to find out that was the epicenter of COVID hitting Idaho. For the next 6 months we spent many hours isolated together, doing sweat by Sofia on Madie's studio apartment porch, playing games with Carsons sigma chi boys, watching many episodes of Game of Thrones and Carson secretively cooking Madie her first elk burger. Another year later and we moved into our first place together! We spent our summer camping, exploring, paddle boarding to blue heart springs, and Carson teaching Madie how to fly fish. We picked up our sweet Cassia girl in 2022 who has spent many hours hiking, hunting and training with mom for all her silly races. In 2023 we bought our first home and have been painting walls ever since. Carson is one smart guy, always saying yes to Madie's crazy home ideas. We were so fortunate to travel to Europe for 3 weeks with the Apsey/Zamora clan where we toured the Louvre, walked the gardens of Versailles, drank cold peroni in Positano, walked through history in Rome and watched the Eiffel Tower sparkle. In 2024 we had one of the most special yet relationship testing trips of floating the Smith River in Montana. We packed in and out, learned how to row a boat(argued a little doing it HA), Madie caught her first fish on a fly rod, and unplugged for a glorious 5 days. We walked away with amazing new friends and an increased appreciation for each other. In March of 2025 Carson surprised Madie with a trip to Sandpoint where he FINALLY popped the question, "about time?". 24 short hours later we became Aunt Madie and Uncle Carson to Olivia Zamora! We have loved, lived, traveled and grown together over the past 6 years and cant wait to celebrate our love with all our favorite people.
