Carlos and Madison first met as summer camp counselors at the O’Fallon YMCA, where they worked together for three summers. Although they were friendly coworkers at the time, it wasn’t until they both moved to Arizona in 2021 that their connection truly began to grow. Through shared group hangouts and long, late-night conversations, their friendship blossomed into something more. In July of 2022, they officially started dating- and they’ve been happily together ever since.

Carlos proposed to Madison on February 7th, 2025- just a couple of days before her birthday. Dressed up for what Madison thought was simply a birthday dinner, the night took a memorable turn when Carlos stopped by a nearby park on their way to the restaurant. Surrounded by a peaceful lake and stunning gazebo, Carlos got down on one knee and asked Madison to marry him. After she said the easiest, “yes,” they headed to their dinner reservation- only to walk in and be greeted by a room full of their closest friends, ready to celebrate the newly engaged couple. It was a night filled with love, laughter, and memories they’ll always cherish.
