Built in 1929 as the Valley National Bank, later Chase Bank, The Treasury 1929 is one of the most beautiful buildings in Tucson. Bryan originally discovered this building while working downtown back when it was still a bank. The ornate ceilings, three beautiful vaults, marble pillars and old Tucson ambiance make this an architectural gem and historic landmark of Tucson. Luckily, a Tucson restaurant family, the Scordatos, bought the space and have since preserved it. We hope you enjoy the space as much as Bryan did when he first saw it! While you are here with us, feel free to explore and try to find all three vaults and the cattle pen downstairs. As was told to us, when cowboys came through town with their herd, they would use a few of their cows as collateral at the bank to provide spending money while they were in town. It is such a unique and gorgeous space, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
