We grew up together just a few streets apart. There isn't one specific time or place either of us remember meeting but our paths often crossed in elementary school/middle school. Sometimes we would walk home to school together with a group of friends, or see each other in the courtyard outside at Gateway. Though it wasn't until high school that we started to become friends. My best friend Olivia played soccer and I would go to her games and tournaments to cheer her on. Blake also played soccer so inevitably our paths crossed. I remember at the lunch table he would always come over and talk to Olivia. I knew who he was because we went to school together for years, but I never really knew him. That's when I realized I had a crush on him. I would ask Olivia to invite Blake to whatever it was we were doing, and I found myself at a lot more soccer games. Sophomore year we had history together. He sat across the room from me. We started working on schoolwork together (though I did most of the work) but I was happy to fill out all his study guides for him. We started walking together in the hallways and snapchatting every day. I'd get butterfly's every time we talked. For two years I had a crush on this sweet, funny, and handsome boy. We started to hang out outside of school, he'd pick me up and we would drive around or go hang out with friends. It had been months of this but he never made a move. I would talk my friend's ears off because I had feeling's for him but I didn't know if it was reciprocated. Until one day my sister told him to man up and ask me out. He finally worked up the nerves and asked me to be his girlfriend on April 4th at Medinia beach park. And he told me he had a crush on me for the past two years too. We are both so blessed to have loved each other so young and to be able to grow into adulthood together. We have had 8 years filled with love, adventures, and big life moments. I knew when I was 16 that I would marry this boy. He proposed to me January 6th, 2024 in a cabin for my birthday with a love letter labeled "Our love story"
