We're Getting Married!

We met on the first few days of school. Our first conversation was very short, only being a quick exchange of names after we finished grading each other's homework. After that day we became friends, exchanging our phone numbers and playfully picking on each other. It wasn't until 11.07.2016 when we made our relationship official! On 11.11.2016 we had our first date! Our first date consisted of having dinner at Mineral City in Fort Dodge, IA, followed by probably one of the worst movies we have seen to date - Shut In. Take our word for it, it was not a very good movie. (Somehow, according to Google, 67% of people liked it - but that's their business, not ours.)

We were at New Smyrna Beach, Florida on my family's annual vacation when Blake popped the question. As the two of us were looking for seashells, Blake had exclaimed "Look at this one!" to which my shell-driven heart turned around to see him on one knee. After a few happy tears, we were engaged! The rest of our trip was euphoric and we were both on cloud nine. As cliche as it sounds or seems, I couldn't possibly imagine a better way for us to get engaged. We could not be more excited to share this special moment in our lives with you on 08.03.2024!
