This trail is one of our photographers favorites in all of Washington state. After making your way up a very adventurous mountain road, you will arrive at Twin Lakes. Feel free to picnic by the lake before starting off on this trail lined with wildflowers. It ends with some of the most jaw-dropping views in Washington and a historic fire lookout you can access. Please note: we really mean it when we say this road is adventurous. To do this trail, you must have a 4WD vehicle with clearance, such as a Jeep Wrangler, pickup truck, or 4Runner. A RAV4, Ford Explorer, Subaru Forester, etc., will not be able to make it to this trailhead.
Right in Glacier, WA, is one of our photographers favorite forested trails in the state. This trail winds through an old-growth forest following the icy blue Nooksack River. Very close to town and one of the more easy hikes.
