A STORY ABOUT PLANES

Hi friends and family. Our story is a story about planes. Everything started 10 years ago with a plane I took to discover the US, specifically Illinois. This is where Madison and I met during a pool party. Madison likes to say that time stopped when she saw me walking in, and I know it's true because I was truly awesome back in the days. This summer stayed as the most special one I've ever lived, and I went back home knowing that what I felt, what we shared, was too beautiful, strong and particular to be only lived once. ANOTHER PLANE One day 3 years later I received a call from Madison basically saying "Hi, I will be there in a week and I will stay for 5 days in the one room apartment you're sharing with your brother". For the ones who know Madison you won't be surprised. I was. From here it just clicked, we were made to be together. ONE PLANE, BUT NOT TO PARIS After 2 years Madison came back, in Lille (North of France) to work a job she hated around kids she didn't like. But we saw each other every weekend either around a Belgium beer or an onion soup. We are in 2019, and a little guy called COVID just showed up. We spent 2 months locked inside her place, together 24/7. It was scary at first, but quickly it just felt so natural to be around each other all the time. She tried to introduce me to yoga (it was a failure who would have thought). She ended up flying back to the US, but we both knew it only would be a couple of months before seeing each other. NO PLANE THIS TIME And we were wrong. The pandemic shut down all aerial services for a year. That's how much time we spent apart. 365 days. Saying it was easy would be a lie, but a good story includes being unsure at some point. It is through hard times that you can tell if something is made to be or not. It is how we knew. After a year apart our first kiss felt like, well, a first kiss but nothing changed: we were in love, and we would be together. MANY PLANES LATER And this is where our story catch up with the present days. Madison flew so much to France she started to be even more French than me. The 27th of September she agreed to take me as her husband, and life feels great. We're coming to the Illinois to celebrate with you the end of this ecological disaster that our relationship had been and enjoy the family and friends that were too far away to be there the first time.
