It all started with some sushi, some letters and sitting in the back of my car at Albertsons. Arashi and I have been having Albertson's sushi dates, sitting in the back of my car, since we first started dating. He had been giving me letters/quizzes he'd written all week long leading up to the proposal and for the last letter he wanted to make sure we were together. While I had some clue as to the proposal coming soon, I was definitely about to be blown away! As we sit in the back of my car devouring sushi I finish the last of the letters to piece together, on the last page, the answer to all the letters. Blue Raspberry. Now Arashi had had the dream since he was a wee child to propose with a ring pop and so I said," Well, if it's going to be a ring pop I want the blue raspberry flavor." True to his dream, Arashi proceeded to withdraw a beautiful blue ring pop and as he asks me to marry him, I'm repeating the word," Yes!" only to be wowed again by a blue velvet box with my grandmother's gorgeous diamond set in a gold band. I sat there thanking God for Arashi and the fact that we could experience such a precious moment in a way that was special to us!
