Once aboard the Disney Fantasy, the food, beverages, and entertainment is all inclusive. The cost to stay in your stateroom, eat unlimited food, and enjoy all the entertainment on the ship is $4,443 per person to stay in an inside room. Most of our guests have chosen to stay in a Verandah room which has your own personal balcony. The price of this type of room starts at $5,339 for 2 people.
There are so many activities that are geared towards adults on the ship. There are adult only pools and hot tubs with in-pool bars for people 18 years of age and older. There are also bars where alcohol is served to adults, as well as adult night clubs with dances, adult-only shows, and much more. Adults can also enjoy the waterslide onboard, the pools, clear bottom hot tubs, and everything else!
The food throughout the entire ship is unlimited for the entirety of the cruise. There are restaurants near the pools where you can order food to go, or theres a buffet with a huge variety of exotic foods, seafood, and almost any food you could imagine. There are three restaurants aboard the ship, and each night for dinner, our wedding group will eat in the same vicinity. We will rotate between all 3 restaurants throughout the entire cruise. The dinners will consist of 5 courses - bread, soup/salad, appetizers, main course, and dessert. Just like the rest of the food on the ship, dinner food is completely unlimited. That being said, if you want to order 2 Filet Mignons, you can!
Yes! Room service is included in the cost of the cruise, but it is recommended that you tip the server $1 or $2 per item. Each night, you can call room service and order a plate of warm chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk, and your only cost would be tipping them around $3! You can also order in any sort of food or beverage you want if you just want to relax, just remember to tip!
The stops throughout the week are so much fun! There are many different excursions that are offered on the different islands. Some excursions include dolphin encounters, scuba diving, submarine adventures, cave exploring, mountain hiking, beach days, coral reef explorations, etc. There will be more details on the specific excursions offered when it gets closer! You can also choose to simply walk around and explore the island if you don't want to pay to do an excursion. The choice is yours!
The days at sea are my favorite days aboard the ship! They often have many activities aboard the ship on these days. For example, they do an activity called the Midship Detective Agency where you go around the ship and solve a mystery. There are also numerous different character appearances around the ship whether that be Lilo and Stitch, the Disney Princesses, Frozen characters, and many many more! The movie theater onboard will also be playing movies throughout the entire day if you prefer to sit and watch movies the whole day. Our specific cruise that we chose has a Pixar Day at Sea where the day will be themed around Pixar movies. Also, one night of the cruise will be themed "Pirates of the Caribbean" where fireworks will be let off over the sea during a deck pirate party.
Technically, the answer is yes, but to do so, it is extremely costly. WiFi onboard the Disney Fantasy is not included, and is very expensive to buy. It is approximately $100 for 1GB of data. The cruise ship also has its own cellular tower, but that too comes with an extremely high price tag. It is best to turn your phone on airplane mode and wait until we arrive at one of the islands and use the WiFi from a store for free. This way, you can enjoy the cruise and the time with us! no phone, wave phone, onboard app, wifi money, wifi on islands
Disney Cruise Line offers an app on your phone which can connect to the Disney WiFi. This app is the only one that will work on the WiFi unless you purchase more. The Disney Cruise app allows you to communicate with members of your party throughout the week! The app also acts as a calendar by giving you all the activities going on throughout the day
Considering everyone will be paying to enjoy a week long vacation, we're going to allow people to do just that. We may plan to do little get togethers at a bar, club, or adult only section here and there throughout the ship, but for the most part, everyone is free to enjoy the week however they please! After all, it is a vacation for everyone attending!
The Disney Cruise offers so many different activities that children and teenagers can enjoy. There are specific age related clubs that children can attend where they can play xbox, play games, and meet numerous different new friends. There is also a basketball court and mini golf course on the top decks of the ship. The pools, water slides, and splash zones are also big areas for kids and teenagers to hangout in!
On top of the price for the cruise itself, the price of an airline ticket and hotel for the night before will be additional. There is an additional cost of $90 per person which goes to the support staff aboard the ship (head server, drink server, cooks, room service, etc). Any excursions you book will also be at an additional cost, and the cost will vary based on which excursion you choose.
Disney Cruise Line offers complimentary beverages included with the price of the ship. As a gift to all of our guests attending, we will be purchasing 30oz Tumblers that you can use to fill up throughout your cruise. These are much bigger than the paper cups that are offered near the drink stations.
With it being a small wedding, we are planning on having our entire guest party wear a specific color scheme that will correspond to our wedding colors. This way, our outfits, flowers, and the guests attire will match making the pictures look much more elegant and beautiful! We haven't finalized the wedding colors, but we will let everyone know what colors we choose when the time comes closer!
Excursions can be booked 90 days before sailing - this number may be bigger or smaller depending on whether or not you've cruised before.
In order to be booked and registered within our party, you have to book the cruise through our travel agent, Debbie Chase. She makes the process extremely seamless and will do all the work for you. To contact her, her email is go2aussie@middletontravel.com - make sure to let her know that you are attending Alex and Madison's wedding aboard the Disney Cruise, and know which room you would like to stay in!
Disney offers 3 amazing options for rooms; inside rooms, ocean view rooms, and verandah rooms. The inside room is the cheapest room and is exactly as it sounds. There are no windows within this room, but there is a virtual, animated window. This "window" will show an animation of the ocean, and occasionally, characters such as the starfish from nemo will appear attached to your virtual window. Considering you will be out and about throughout the ship for much of the cruise, the inside room is a great option! The next option is the ocean view window. This room is a little bit larger than the inside room, and provides guests with a large porthole window to view the ocean from. Another amazing option for anyone who wants the view of the ocean! The verandah room is the most costly option, but in my opinion, it is well worth it! You get your own personal balcony to look out over. You can wake up and watch the sunsets over the water, or eat warm chocolate chip cookies and milk at night!
YES! The photographers aboard the Disney Fantasy are amazing, and you can find them almost anywhere throughout the entire ship! Disney uses a facial recognition system to find any pictures with your face in it, and those pictures will go into an account for you that you can choose to purchase. Each night before dinner, professional photographers will have stations set up where you can go and take as many professional pictures as you wish. They will have different backgrounds each night of the cruise! You can also choose to purchase a drive of every picture taken throughout the entire cruise for $295. With this drive, you can take as many pictures as you want, and they will all be included within that drive. Pictures that would go on this drive include: any character meet and greet pictures, family photos taken before dinner at the professional photography stations, pictures at dinner, pictures from the camera within the waterslide, and any pictures taken on Disney's private island!
You will need 8 days worth of comfy clothes to walk around in, as well as 7 dress outfits for the 7 nights of the cruise. For dinner, there is a dress code which requires people to dress nicely to attend dinner. My family would dress to match with each other so that the family pictures with the professional photographers beforehand would turn out so much better!
Absolutely! The catch is that the alcohol onboard is extremely expensive. Disney Cruise Line does, however, allow each person over 18 to bring in their carry on either: 2 bottles of unopened wine OR 6 cans of beer. This is a good way to combat the prices of alcohol, and it allows you to bring on whatever alcohol you prefer!
Disney allows each person to bring on 2 suitcases!
Disney is currently requiring ALL travelers to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Also, masks are required in any indoor locations unless actively eating and drinking. We are hopeful that the mask mandate is lifted and life can go back to normal!
Sea sickness is a real concern, but with the size of the Disney Cruise, it is honestly hard to tell that you're even on a ship. Unless you are sitting and actively focusing on the water, it is nearly impossible to tell that you are in the middle of the ocean. Even so, some people still get sea sick and experience sea sickness throughout the week. One way to combat this is taking pills directed at combatting sea sickness. If you take this pill 24 hours before getting on the ship and every night of the cruise, it will be so much more enjoyable and you won't experience the symptoms associated with sea sickness.
Absolutely not! Disney prides themselves on having representation from all around the world. We have already requested that our dinner waiters speak Spanish so that they can better serve some of our guests.
A downpayment of 10% is due upon booking the cruise through our travel agent, Debbie Chase. The remaining payment is due around November, 2022. No excursions can be booked until the entire price of the cruise is payed off. And while there is no official payment plan, you can create your own by paying off the cruise little by little each month. The entire cruise must be paid off by the time of sailing.
Disney has an onboard hair, make up, and nail salon where they will be doing many of the girls hair and make up the day of the wedding. This comes at a fee, but it is well worth it if you want your hair and make up done for the wedding.
It is absolutely possible! Disney offers many different gift options which you can have sent to another persons room. Some gifts include cake, flowers, and alcohol. Another gift that Alex and I are going to buy for our room is called the "Romance Package" which gifts us with 2 extremely soft Disney Cruise Line robes that we can use throughout the duration of the cruise, a bottle of wine, a rose, and a box of chocolates for $130.
We chose a wedding month where tropical storms are very very infrequent and rarely happen. Even so, it is always a possibility. Disney is extremely good at navigating through storms, and they could change the entire cruise path if weather is bad.
