Downtown Charleston is our favorite area to stay and visit. You'll definitely stay booked and busy exploring downtown! Window shop and bar hop along King Street, browse the open air market for local souvenirs on Meeting Street, and admire the charm and history of Charleston along the Battery and Broad Street. Palmetto Carriage Works is great for carriage tours and is located near the market. Charleston has a plethora of companies that offer tours of the city. You can even go on home tours and ghost tours!
Folly Beach
Folly Beach holds a special place in our hearts. Walk (or drive) down to the Morris Island Lighthouse to see where AJ proposed to Madison! Check out Taco Boy for lunch / dinner, Lowlife Bar for a cocktail, or Lost Dog Cafe for brunch.
Shem Creek
Just over the historic Ravenel Bridge, you'll find Shem Creek. We love visiting Shem Creek for great seafood, drinks, and dolphin watching! Some of our favorite places to go are Red's Ice House, Saltwater Cowboys, Mill Street Tavern, and Shelter Kitchen and Bar. Pro tip: Order a mudslide, pina colada, or daiquiri along with seafood at Red's Ice House. Devour the trash can nachos and a frozen lemonade at Saltwater Cowboys, indulge in brunch at Mill Street Tavern, or hit up Shelter Kitchen and Bar for an orange crush or a beer.
