Honeymoon

First of all, thank you so much for your continued love and support. We will be going to Aruba for our honeymoon!

Why we chose Aruba

We chose Aruba for a number of reasons! First of all, we both wanted to go somewhere warm. We LOVE the beach, and we love to relax by the water. Really, Randalls only request for the honeymoon was a swim up bar. Good news, we were able to secure that for Randall, our resort does have a swim up bar! We really wanted to see Aruba because neither of us have never been, but Alyssa has heard so much about it! Her late Grandpa, Grandpa Ron, has been to Aruba several times. It was one of his favorite travel destinations. Grandpa Ron was a sailor, so he loved the open water, and he instilled a lot of those values on Alyssa (and some on Randall too!). Alyssa remembers when she was little, there were a few times at Grandpas house where we would whip out the old photo album and look at all the pictures from Aruba. Alyssa vividly remembers all of the bright, colorful fish and the white sandy beaches.

Why we chose a honeymoon fund

We chose a honeymoon fund over a traditional registry because of several reasons, the biggest being we have already lived together for several years and simply do not have many upgrades we need to make. We have lived together for about four years now, and we have accumulated a lot of stuff over the years! Looking into our future, if we are planning on moving back to Michigan anytime soon, it simply does not make sense to us to ask for all of these physical items that we will have to move over several states in the next coming years. We are excited to travel together for the first time and make our honeymoon a trip of a lifetime. Please do not feel obligated to contribute! If you are still wanting to gift us a physical gift, please email the bride at gibsonalyssa45@gmail.com for additional options. There are a few things that we have had our eyes on, just not enough to create a whole registry. Thank you for understanding!

What our travel plans look like

We will be flying out of Nashville on Monday, October 20th. This means that we will have to drive back to TN after brunch on Saturday. The 9-hour road trip will be the start of our journey, so we will be sure to pack plenty of snacks! After the road trip, we have a layover in Charlotte, North Carolina, so we will not be arriving in Aruba until 3:20pm! After all our adventures, we will be returning home to Nashville on Monday, October 27th. It will be a late night!

Some things we are planning to do

As much as we love relaxing by the beach, we are hoping to get some really fun excursions in! Some things we are deciding between: Catamaran Ride: A leisurely cruise to check out all of Aruba's beautiful sights. UTV Off-Road Adventure: Professional UTV tour around the natural wonders of Aruba. Baby Beach Off-road Safari: Open air ride guided by Aruba locals to see the wildlife Caves and Snorkel Off-Road Safari: An Off-Road Ride to the Caves with Snorkeling at Mangel Halto! Snorkel Adventure: Palm Pleasure snorkel adventure to see three different snorkel spots. If you have any recommendations, please share! The bride can be reached at 616-403-2843.
