Frequently Asked Questions

Question

When should I RSVP by, and how?

Answer

We can’t wait to celebrate with you! Please RSVP by July 26th using the RSVP tab on our website.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We’d love to see our family and friends dress up with us! Our wedding celebration calls for formal attire. Ladies are encouraged to wear long evening gowns, though a cocktail-length dress is absolutely welcome as well. Gentlemen should opt for a classic suit and tie. Most importantly, we want you to feel polished, comfortable, and confident as you join us in celebrating our special day.

Question

Can I bring a date/plus one?

Answer

To ensure we can comfortably accommodate all of our invited guests, only those explicitly named on your invitation are included. If a plus one has been extended to you, your invitation will read “(Your Name) & Guest.” Please note that we are unable to accommodate anyone not listed on the invitation — seating, meals, and place settings have been arranged exclusively for confirmed guests. We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping our celebration run smoothly.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event with the exception of our flower girls and ring bearer. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving by 4:30 pm for our 5:00 pm ceremony. This will give you plenty of time to park, shuttle to the venue, find your seat, and enjoy those cherished moments of anticipation with your fellow guests before we begin. If you are arriving on Sunday, please keep in mind that check-in time for the hotel is at 4pm and plan accordingly. *early check-in cannot be promised but may be possible if rooms are available!*

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We're hosting an unplugged ceremony, which means we kindly ask that you put away phones and cameras during our wedding vows. Our most cherished gift will be your full, undivided presence as we say "I do". Professional photographers and videographers will beautifully capture every moment, and we can't wait to share those images with you shortly after our wedding. Once the ceremony concludes, we welcome and encourage you to take all the photos and videos you'd like during the reception!

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we'll have an open bar with complimentary drinks. Bar service will pause briefly during dinner.

Question

Can I bring my own adult beverages?

Answer

Our venue provides professional bartending service, and due to specific policy and safety regulations, outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the premises. To ensure compliance and maintain a smooth event, guests bringing personal drinks will be asked to leave, and the bride and groom would unfortunately be held accountable for any violations of this policy. (Don't worry, limoncello lovers — enjoy your favorite aperitif in your hotel rooms before joining us at the venue!) Our bartenders will be delighted to craft delicious beverages for your celebration.

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, our ceremony and cocktail hour will be hosted outdoors, with the cocktail hour area fully covered. In the event of rain, we'll seamlessly move the ceremony inside. The reception will be held in our beautiful indoor venue.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes! To book a room under our wedding block, please call (800)955-2754 and mention the “Perrault-Michelsen wedding.” Booking a room under a wedding block cannot be done online at this time, so all reservations under our block should be made by phone. The deadline to reserve a room under our block is July 8th.

Question

Can I post photos on social media?

Answer

Yes! We can't wait to see your snapshots! Feel free to share your favorite moments from our wedding day using our personalized hashtag #MadAboutMichelsen. By tagging us, you'll help us collect and cherish all the beautiful memories captured by our loved ones.

Question

What if I don’t RSVP in time?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP by July 26th as noted on your invitation. Missing this deadline means you'll automatically be marked as "not attending" and unfortunately cannot be accommodated at our wedding. While we would love to celebrate with you, we must provide our vendors with a precise guest count, and late RSVPs cannot be accepted. This means no seating, meal, or beverage arrangements will be available if you do not respond by the specified date.

Question

What should I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

You will definitely be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding, please indicate "Will NOT Attend" on your RSVP so we can plan accordingly. If you have already RSVP'd "Attending", but find that you will not make it, Please notify Madison, Kevin, or their parents as soon as you are aware.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes :) Please visit the “Registry” tab or go to https://www.Zola.com/registry/madison-and-kevin to view our registry. We are also registered at Target. To shop on that registry in-person, please visit the registry kiosk or customer service desk to find our registry, or shop online at https://www.target.com/gift-registry/gift/maddie-kevin-registry Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Our wedding website's schedule page provides a comprehensive overview of all events. For those in town the night before the wedding, please join us for a “dressy casual” welcome party at the hotel bar! Please note that the rehearsal dinner will be by invitation only.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is available at our venue, with designated handicap accessible spaces. To ensure everyone's comfort, we'll provide a convenient shuttle service running between the hotel and venue throughout our wedding day, making transportation effortless for all our guests.

Question

What color are the bridesmaids wearing?

Answer

All of my beautiful bridesmaids will be wearing sky blue.

Question

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?

Answer

For any additional questions, we recommend reaching out to Madison, Kevin, their parents, or members of their wedding party. To ensure the couple can fully savor their special moments, we kindly ask that guests refrain from directly contacting the bride and groom with questions close to the wedding day except in urgent situations, allowing them to focus on this cherished time with minimal stress.
