We first crossed paths on New Year’s Eve at a cozy little bar. I was out with a friend to celebrate when a kind gentleman, who we later dubbed "the cowboy," sent us both a drink. I felt it was only polite to thank him, so I introduced myself. From there, the night unfolded into laughter, music, and an impromptu group of new friends. The cowboy even tried to give me his number, but let’s just say the attempt didn’t quite stick—he never saved it! A month passed, and curiosity got the better of me. I found myself back at that same bar, determined to secure the number I had missed the first time. After that, we started talking, went on a few dates, and enjoyed spending time together. But as life would have it, our connection settled into a beautiful friendship for the next year. Then came one unforgettable July weekend. Andrew drove four hours in an old Jeep (with no air conditioning!) to support me at a friend’s event. That weekend, something shifted. I began to see him in a new light, and over the next few months, we quietly explored whether there was something more between us.
