Colin is in the Army; at any point they can call him into work. Although he has this day blocked off anything can change, even up until the last minute. Please be prepared for this. The couple understands this can be a bummer as vacation days are hard to get but it is just the reality of their situation. Please consider this when you choose to RSVP.
This is an untraditional wedding - take all your expectations and throw them out the window! There will be a short and sweet ceremony followed by a nice long party to celebrate the couple. Dinner will be served as a buffet, first come first serve (although there will be plenty of food), but don't wait on the newlyweds to eat! You can expect no best man or maid of honor speeches, private vows and no cake cutting ceremony (although there will be dessert). The only traditional portion of the reception will be the couple's first dance, for which they invite all the other happy couples to join them! Since this is untraditional, don't worry about saying goodbye to the newlyweds! If they're busy on the dance floor or occupied in conversation an IRISH GOODBYE is welcomed! Simply send them a text after your departure if you please!
YES! Colin and Madilyn's dogs Boogie and Hex will be in attendance for as long as they please, if you're not comfortable with animals please consider that before you submit your RSVP. Also, this is an actual farm, there are horses, goats, dogs, cats and birds on property.
The ceremony will take place outside at Happy Bottom Ranch. The reception will have indoor and outdoor areas for everyone to enjoy the evening. It is advised to bring a jacket or layer up just in case it gets chilly, it will be February, however it is also Georgia so chances are it could be the perfect temperature!
NO!! The only thing you "have" to do is be comfortable and come to celebrate! Bridesmaids and Groomsmen will be in red and black, but the wedding guests are not required to stick to the color theme.
The ceremony will be short and sweet, no seating necessary. However, the reception will have plenty of tables and chairs. If you need accommodations for the ceremony, please reach out to the bride or groom.
The couple has opted out of a registry! If you'd like to bring a gift or card you're welcome to, but your attendance on their special day is a gift itself!
The photographer is booked for the ceremony and for a limited time afterwards. If the couple gets done with their wedding portraits the photographer may take photos of some of the reception. If the photographer doesn't make it to the reception there will be disposable cameras, polaroids and obviously many cell phones for one-on-one photos with the bride or groom!
