David and Madi met through a mutual friend and knew right away they had something special. On their first date David went to Madi's house to go kayaking. They spent the entire date talking about life. David quickly learned that Madi is a story teller and loves more than anything to hear others stories. He also learned that she is filled with random facts (he didn’t know it at the time but he was about to hear these random facts before bed every night for the next 4 years). Madi learned that David loves his family more than anything and looks up to each one of his siblings. She also learned that David really wanted a red merle Australian Shepherd (now known as their baby boy Remi). When the date was over and David left, Madi thought instantly there was no way he was going to want to go on another date with her, but within minutes of leaving he sent her a message with plans for their next date. Their second date was at a Thai food restaurant in Littleton NH. When they got to the restaurant David sat on the same side of the table as Madi and kept telling her how beautiful she looked. Madi didn’t even hear those compliments because she was to busy panicking about not being able to understand the menu. At one point, Madi asked David why everything on the menu says "Thai spicy" next to it and exactly how spicy is Thai spicy. David responded, "That means its really hot...like you". This became one of their favorite things to say to each other throughout their relationship. They will forever find each other "Thai spicy". At the end of the date, David dropped Madi off at her house and went back to his place. He noticed that Madi left her wallet in his truck. He messaged his friend Tyler and told him she left her wallet in his truck and they both came to the conclusion she did it on purpose so she could see him again. Madi to this day says that was NOT on purpose. She went days without being able to get Dunkin or gas for her car so it obviously was not on purpose. On their third date (10/24/21), David took Madi to his mothers house at Newark Pond. They went on their first hike on Haystack Mountain. Afterwards, Madi got to meet David's mother, brother, and step-father. They finished the night kayaking on the pond. Madi asked David what he wanted to be for Halloween and he said he wanted to be her boyfriend. Looking back now they both think its fitting they are getting married the day before Halloween. Less than a month went by when David's world was completely changed. Tragically, David's brother passed away. Ben was not only David's brother but his best friend, role model, his everything. Madi knew David was going through something unimaginable. So she told him that she can give him space and let him have time to process this, or she will be by his side whenever he needs her. He chose the later option, and they moved in with each other less than a month later. They haven’t spent many nights apart since then. God brings people together when he knows they need each other. David and Madi needed each other in that moment, and they are so happy to spend the rest of their lives together.
