Big shoutout to modern dating, this is a Bumble success story! Guadalupe and Jesse met on a Saturday afternoon in late February 2017. Jesse had been living in San Franciso lovin' the city life, while Guadalupe was the definition of a small town girl. Somehow, Guadalupe was able to convince Jesse to venture out and meet in the small town of San Bruno. After an almost 6-hour first date, they both knew they'd found someone special.

For anyone that knows Jesse, he is a planner. So naturally, when it came time to pop the question, he wanted to ensure it was picture perfect. Jesse planned to propose before a trip to Disneyland for Valentine's Day (to celebrate at the happiest place in the world), and then surprise Guadalupe with a second trip to celebrate with her family in the Bay Area. Jesse orchestrated with his brother for Jesse and Guadalupe to have a "surprise" activity for the day before leaving to Disneyland as a gift from his brother to disguise the proposal. The day before the proposal Jesse attempted to prepare Guadalupe for what would be the proposal the next day; asking if she wanted to do her hair for work pictures the next day (coincidently work picture day fell on the proposal date) and asking if she wanted to get her nails done later that afternoon before Disneyland. Guadalupe agreed to all of it that night! He had asked Guadalupe to get to the apartment at 5:30 pm sharp to ensure they were on time for the activity. As things go, Jesse's plan changed on the fly. The next day, proposal day, Guadalupe woke up grabbed her hair in a ponytail, and decide to sleep in, after work rather than going to the nail salon, she decides to work late to catch up before her trip, then when heading home rather than taking an uber decided to get her steps in and walk in the rain. Jesse asked her to meet at the complex's event room and to read the sign upon arrival. Guadalupe arrived around 30 minutes late, was blindfolded and brought in. To her great shock, when she removed her blindfold, Jesse was down on one knee with a ring at hand. For the first time since they'd met Guadalupe was speechless. After processing everything for a good solid minute, she answered the easiest question she has been asked, yes! Guadalupe was the definition of surprised and this story could not describe their relationship any better.
