We met the very first day of high school when we were assigned to the same english class. Throughout high school, we were great friends, and were even lab partners in anatomy class. After graduation, we spent time together with friends, but did not start officially dating until Maddie was about 2 weeks away from leaving for college in Nebraska. Starting a relationship while half way across the country was no easy task. We had to quickly learn how to effectively communicate and balance between giving each other attention and being a full-time college student. While long-distance had a whole set of challenges, we don’t think our relationship would be as strong as it is without that experience. Maddie graduated from Creighton University in May of 2023 with her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and moved back home to Arizona! She took her board exams a month later and started working at Mayo Clinic in the ICU. Landing her dream job was pretty amazing, but finally living only 15 minutes away from Ethan again made it that much better. Ethan graduated from Northern Arizona University in December of 2023 with his Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity. He started his first big boy job a few weeks later and has since started his Masters program in Cybersecurity. We have been so blessed to have made incredible memories together. From concerts, to sorority and fraternity formals, to family weddings, to eating In ‘n Out on Camelback Mountain and so much more. We have been able to travel together to Coronado, Charleston, the Ozarks, Minneapolis, Las Vegas, and Cabo. Yep, life has been sweet! We celebrated our 5th anniversary in August of 2024 and we had never been happier! That is until a couple months later… On October 11, 2024, Ethan proposed to Maddie at the famous Camelback Inn. It was the most perfect evening, surrounded by our parents and siblings. We are so lucky to have been able to share that moment with the people who made us who we are. We are beyond thrilled for this time in our lives and to be able to make such precious memories. We are so excited to see what God holds in our future.
