It all started on July 29, 2022, at The Brig in Venice, California. Madelyn was out with girlfriends and Paul was there as a third wheel after an impromptu double date went sideways (we’re both glad it did). Somewhere between the music, the crowd, and a very enthusiastic dance floor, Madelyn spotted Paul showing off some moves. She made her way over, and the two danced the night away until the bar closed. But the night didn’t end there. Madelyn invited Paul to Redondo Beach the next day so they could actually talk. He showed up, and from that day on, everything clicked. Their first official date was later that week at a local brewery, where they realized they had a ton in common. Conversation flowed effortlessly — like they’d known each other forever. Within a month, it was official: boyfriend and girlfriend. Since then, life together has been full of the good stuff: camping trips, watching the Packers, NASCAR races, sushi dates, Manhattan cocktails, travels big and small, and tons of time spent with their sweet pup, Frankie. They share everything — sometimes more than Paul bargained for — but honest communication has been the foundation of their relationship from the start. On June 7, Paul brought it full circle. He took Madelyn back to Redondo Beach, where their first real hangout happened. With the help of some sneaky friends, he pulled off the sweetest surprise proposal.
