Ansley and Maddie met in the 5th grade (2010) at Johnson Elementary. The teacher attempted to put the "quiet" girl (Maddie) next to the "chatty" girl (Ansley), but her efforts failed because this friendship boomed and has lasted through thick and thin for 15 years.
Kiah Huckaby
Best Man
Kiah and DJ met in the 6th grade circa 2010. (the same year Maddie and Ansley met!!!) Before they officially met, the boys noticed each other in school because they were wearing the same Aéropostale shirt. They discretely tested each other by wearing that shirt every Tuesday until they finally met and started the friendship that began without even talking.
Kate Wilkes
Maid of Honor
Kate is Maddie's little sister and it wouldn't be her wedding without her. When Kate came into the world, Maddie's world changed for the better because she finally had a built-in best friend to play Barbie's with, play dress-up, and put on fashion shows for mom and dad (even if she was bossed into doing most of it).
Blake Vinson
Groomsman
Blake and DJ met at our friends, Kiah and Ansley's wedding. There was an immediate friendship from that night on and as a group we all began to get closer. Blake is the fun seeker in our friend group and always gets us out of our shell.
Emily Vinson
Bridesmaid
Maddie met Emily when Blake started dating her! It was so exciting to have another girl around! Emily brings the laughter into every room she walks in! In just the short amount of time they have known each other, there is an undeniable bond. We are so blessed to know her and to have her a part of our special day.
Dawson Boatner
Groomsman
Dawson and DJ met when they were in elementary school. They have grown up around each other and have developed similar interests. Through high school, they grew extremely close while working at Chick-Fil-A together behind the grill! This friendship is one for a lifetime.
Mary Fuller
Bridesmaid
Mary is Maddie's cousin and bridesmaid. Growing up, Mary and her family lived in North Carolina, so it was very special when they came for a visit. Summers spent at Grandmama's house and making memories to last a lifetime, it wouldn't be right if Mary wasn't standing up there on this special day.
Matt Hall
Groomsman
Matt is DJ's groomsman and long time friend. Matt and DJ have gone to school together since elementary school and have grown up together. Through Chick-Fil-A grilling, high school graduation, and all the things that followed, Matt fits this role so well.
Miriam Fuller
Bridesmaid
Miriam "Mimi" is Maddie's cousin and bridesmaid. She, like Mary, came visit frequently from North Carolina. So many memories were made in those summers and short visits and the bond was something that was remembered for every reunion. From a pretend, dress-up wedding, to the real thing, Mimi just has to be there.
Jackson Glenn
Groomsman
Jackson and DJ met around Ansley and Kiah's wedding. This friendship grew through their loads of mutual interests-- video games being the top. Jackson is a great friend to have. It's an honor to have him in the wedding.
