We met during our senior year of high school when Dimitri sat on Madelyn’s lap in the lunchroom after she stole his seat. What started as an unlikely moment quickly turned into a friendship built on shared humor and a deep love for the people around us. Madelyn was drawn to Dimitri’s positivity and empathy, while Dimitri admired Madelyn’s confidence and wit. Like many great love stories, we spent about a year pushing our feelings aside, convinced the timing wasn’t right. It wasn’t until college (after a little encouragement from Madelyn's friends) that she finally admitted her feelings to her best friend. From that moment on, we were inseparable. We spent five wonderful years together in Athens before moving to Atlanta to begin our “adult life.” Along the way, we’ve built a life we love, complete with two cats, careers we’re passionate about, and an incredible community of friends we’re so grateful for. In 2024, Dimitri proposed in Paris at a quiet little park in the Latin Quarter. Madelyn, completely unsuspecting, thought he was just taking her picture—she was mid-pose when he pulled out the ring. We love each other deeply and feel so lucky to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
