Maddie and Dave have an extremely unique love story for the times. They met ......... on a dating app! Two to be exact. They first matched on Hinge and later J Swipe. This was the first sign that they were meant to be in each others lives. Dave reached out to Maddie using a line about the weather, which immediately spoke to her former desire to be a meteorologist. After a short couple of weeks of talking back and forth on the app and through texts, they met in person. The first date was something of a marathon. They met at Tria wine bar on Spruce street where they immediately felt sparks. From there, they ventured to Oyster House for some raw bar and martinis. Excited to keep the evening going, they traveled to Harp and Crown where they sat in the speakeasy downstairs. It was there, at the bowling alley, to be exact, that they shared their first kiss. Anyone that knew the two of them, knew that something special was starting.
Mirroring the first date, Dave set up a full day of exciting activities. In order to surprise Maddie, he came up with the plan to celebrate the anniversary of their moving in together in style! They dressed to the nines (obviously Dave in a suit) and head out for the day. They started with a glass of bubbly at the restaurant where they toasted their future apartment together. From there, the story starts to sound familiar. They went back to Tria where they first met and enjoyed a lovely french-style bistro lunch. From there, they strolled down the cobblestone road of Quincy street where he popped the question. Little did Maddie know, but there was a photographer there to capture the moment! Beyond excited and over the moon, they traveled back to Oyster Bar where they were greeted by their families. It was at this point that Dave said they should go home and prepare for dinner that evening. However, he thought it might be a good idea to "stop in" to Harp and Crown as well (for nostalgia sake). It was here that he surprised Maddie with a celebration including many of their loved ones and friends from all over the country. Over all, it was the most beautiful day with amazing memories. They are so excited to create more in the year to come! 10.29.2022 can't come quick enough! Thank you to everyone who made our day so special!
