Dennis and Madelyn's story began during the height of the pandemic, when they met in July of 2020. A serendipitous “right” swipe set their love story in motion, as there was a mutual spark between them that couldn’t be ignored. After messaging back and forth for a while, a few weeks later, Madelyn was positively surprised when Dennis picked up the phone and called her–a sign of a true gentleman. Soon after, they went on their first date to a cocktail bar in Dallas, and with the pandemic in full-swing, Madelyn showed up dressed for the occasion, in a cocktail dress and face shield. After dating for a few months, they went on their first big getaway to Scottsdale, Arizona and had a romantic time together that included a scenic hot air balloon ride! Madelyn always noticed and appreciated the tremendous effort Dennis put into planning their outings, and this special trip, like many others that would follow, was no exception. Eventually, Madelyn was able to meet Dennis’s sweet daughter Riley, who quickly became a bonus blessing in their relationship. As time went on, they spent more and more time together, enjoying mutual passions such as golf and discovering that they made the best pickleball partners. After a few years together, filled with a lot of love, laughs, and memorable trips all over the U.S. and even the Maldives, they both undoubtedly knew they wanted to spend their lives together and continue their adventure as a family of three!

In May of 2023, Madelyn accompanied Dennis on their second President’s Club trip together, this time to Costa Rica! Madelyn was anticipating another fun destination experience, completely unaware that Dennis was planning to propose the same day they arrived! After getting to Costa Rica, they boarded the shuttle that would take them to their resort. Madelyn noticed that Dennis was acting a little antsy, and had a tight grip on his backpack . . . little did she know that in his backpack was the beautiful ring he would soon use to propose. Once they finally arrived at the resort, they ran into some marketing colleagues who invited Madelyn and Dennis to dinner that night. To Madelyn's surprise, the golf cart dropped them off at the beach rather than the hotel restaurant. Puzzled, she looked around for Dennis’s colleagues, only to find no one but the love of her life standing next to her, when he warmly said, “it’s just you and me tonight babe.” Arm in arm, they walked down toward the beach, time beginning to slow down as Madelyn started to realize what was happening. After Dennis professed his love and commitment to her, she lay her eyes on a bold sign in front of them that read, “Will you marry me?” Dennis got down on one knee in front of the sign and popped the big question. Brought to tears by this beautiful, grand gesture of love, she accepted his proposal without hesitation! A moment they will remember for the rest of their lives, Madelyn and Dennis couldn’t be more thrilled and grateful to celebrate their union surrounded by loving family and friends.
