It all started on July 19th, 2019—the day Madelyn walked into a job interview and unknowingly met the love of her life. She had just moved to Austin from New York and, thanks to a suggestion from her sister Misha, was interviewing for a receptionist position at the company Kyle worked for. After a successful interview, Madelyn joined the team, and what began as a professional connection quickly blossomed into a close friendship. From sharing laughs with coworkers, late-night dart games at The Local, and endless conversations about everything from music and movies to life’s biggest questions - their bond only grew stronger. As months passed, both Madelyn and Kyle transitioned into new professional roles, just as the world around them began to change. The pandemic hit and with it came an entirely new normal however, amidst all the uncertainty, one thing became clear—their friendship had turned into something much more. With restaurants closed and traditional date nights on hold, Kyle invited Madelyn—just three floors down—to his apartment for what would become a night to remember. Dressed in their finest, Kyle cooked dinner for two (to the best of his ability), and together they created their own traditional date night. That same evening, over a homemade meal filled with stories and laughter, Kyle found the courage to ask Madelyn to be his girlfriend. And she said yes!
