Things To Do

We are so excited to welcome you to Philadelphia and hope you have the opportunity to enjoy the city over the weekend! Below are some recommendations for things to do and places to eat! Love, Madeline and Jordan

Philadelphia Museum of Art

2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is one of the largest art museums in the country. Madeline's favorite exhibit is the Impressionists and Jordan's favorite is the Arms and Armor! While it is technically walkable from Center City, we recommend taking a 5 minute Uber there.

The Franklin Institute

222 North 20th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

The Franklin Institute is an interactive science museum. Madeline's favorite exhibit is the Body Odyssey. It is definitely walkable from Center City hotels, about 1 mile!

Old City

Philadelphia, PA

Old City is the historic district of Philadelphia home to the Betsy Ross House, Independence Hall, the Museum of the American Revolution, and Elfreth's Alley (America's oldest continuously inhabited street)! We recommend taking a 5 minute Uber from Center City to one of the locations then walking Old City. You can subway on the Market-Frankford line from 15th Street to 5th Street, as well!

Pearl and Mary Oyster Bar

114 South 13th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Philly! The menu is mainly fish and has an amazing raw bar. They have a great Happy Hour everyday from 4-7pm! If dining for full dinner or lunch, reservations are a good idea. It is 3 blocks from Center City hotels.

Parc

227 South 18th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

Where we ate dinner after getting engaged! Parc is located on Rittenhouse Square and is a Philly classic! The menu is French cuisine. They serve brunch on weekends in addition to dinner everyday. Reservations are highly recommended. It is 5 blocks from Center City hotels.

Reading Terminal Market

1136 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107

Reading Terminal Market is a huge indoor farmer's market with all types of cuisine. A great place to try a Philly Cheesesteak, and Termini Brother's Bakery has delicious Italian desserts! It is a half mile from Center City Hotels.

Rittenhouse Square

1800 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

The park where we got engaged! It is also where Madeline's parents got engaged in 1993! It is a relaxing place to stroll and surrounded by shops, cafes, and restaurants. Saturdays 9am-2pm is the Rittenhouse Farmers Market!

Mr. Edison

1400 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102

A brand new restaurant in the Bellevue Hotel! Open for dinner only; reservations highly recommended. Bar is open until 12AM on weekends!
