Dane County Farmers' Market
Take a Saturday morning stroll around the Capitol Square Farmers' Market for fresh produce, baked goods, and cheese curds!
Epic
Visit the place that both Madeline and Nick call "work!" The Epic campus is one of the best-kept-secrets of the midwestern US, affectionally called the "Google of the Midwest." You can take a self-guided tour through the Harry Potter themed campus, Storybook, or the farm. Be sure to stop by Nick (Grimm, 1st floor) and Madeline's (Observatory, 3rd floor) offices, too!
Monona Terrace
For beautiful views of Lake Monona (& overlooking the lakefront path where we got engaged!), check out the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Monona Terrace.
Wisconsin State Capitol
Everything in Madison centers around the Capitol building. Designed very similarly to the U.S. Capitol, this building is beautiful to wander around - and you don't even need a formal tour! Take a stroll up to the top for mind-blowing views of the Madison area.
Forward Madison FC
If you have an evening in town, one of the most fun things you can do is check out a Forward Madison FC soccer game! Mid-September is often one of the most beautiful times of the year in Madison, and there's nothing like a cool evening at the pitch.
Olbrich Botanical Gardens
Immediately next to the reception venue is a beautiful slice of nature, the Olbrich Botanical Gardens! Check it out, grab a beer, and take a stroll!
Memorial Union
Just outside the student union at UW Madison is the Memorial Union Terrace! Check it out for casual fare, good beer, and stunning views of Lake Mendota.
State Street
State Street is a fan-favorite in Madison - with tons of restaurants, shops, and fun things to do. It's located right in the heart of downtown, and is frequented by UW students.

The name says it all! Try out local brews - kid and dog friendly! They don't serve food but you are welcome to bring your own.
