Talon: Madeline and I both went to the Stubenville Conference through St. Benedict’s Parish in 2019, though we hadn’t met each other yet. There were plenty of new faces around as I still hadn’t met everyone that was on the same trip, when we stopped at a diner for breakfast. As we were all walking in I noticed that some girl was holding the door, and as I passed her I barely caught a glimpse. Immediately I did a double take, instantly thinking that she was the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen. From then on I was just hoping for a chance to see her again, and possibly spend some time with her if I could. When I told the guys that I had a crush on this girl, and then described her, they all freaked out as I apparently liked “John Paul’s sister”. I found my chances to talk to her, stole a chance to sit with her on the bus, gave her a hug when we departed, and now I get to marry her😏 Of course, there was plenty more to the story… it took me weeks to build the courage to approach her with my feelings, there were months of hugging and spending every chance we could with one another, and eventually I convinced her parents to let me date her😂 But she’s the perfect woman and she is to be my wife (the best wife a man could ever ask for), and that’s all that really matters in the end. Madeline: Talon and I officially met on a Steubenville mission trip to Springfield Missouri in 2019. I remember seeing him hanging out with my brother John Paul and thinking he was super cute and wanted to know who he was. I started to realize he probably wanted to know who I was also, because he'd take the chances he got to talk to me and sit by me on the bus. He seemed very interested in what I thought and how I felt, and it made me really happy. We went to a theme park during the trip and I lost my hat on a ride. Our friends were in a circle talking and Talon was the only one who noticed me asking for help finding it😊 After the trip, we continued hanging out in our friend group and at youth group. We'd talk and laugh for hours sometimes, and on one of those nights he confessed how he felt. I knew what he was trying to say before he could fully get it out and I was super excited! We started dating not too long after and now I'm getting married to the man of my dreams🥰
