Where can guests stay?

Answer

We have room blocks at The Radisson and The Hilton hotels in Scranton. We recommend calling to book reservations (see contact information in Travel section). The discount code is CHWRB (Carey/Hoch Wedding Room Block). The hotels are located directly across the street from each other and approximately 20 minutes from our venue.

Will there be transportation?

Answer

Yes! For guests staying at the hotels, we have shuttles scheduled to arrive at the Radisson and the Hilton at 3:15 pm on Saturday. They will be leaving the hotels promptly at 3:40 pm to take guests to the venue. The shuttles will also be available for transport back to the hotels following our reception, which ends at 10:00 pm. The venue has plenty of parking available for those who are planning to drive themselves.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding attire is formal. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a suit and tie. Ladies can opt for a floor-length or midi-length dress - length is all that matters, style/color is up to you! Our venue is mostly outdoors and it may get a little chilly when the sun goes down, so please plan accordingly. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Can I bring my little ones?

We politely request that no children attend our wedding events and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you in advance for understanding.

There will be passed Hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour. Dinner will be served buffet-style with air, land and sea options available.

Grab a welcome glass of champagne upon arrival to the venue! There will be an open bar during cocktail hour and reception :)

What's the deal with the after party?

Answer

The after party will be an informal affair. The shuttles will bring guests back to the hotels following the reception. Then, we plan on heading to a local bar within walking distance from the hotels. Any and all are welcome to join! More details to come in this regard.
