He Mni Can [Heh-Meh-Nee-Cha] Barn Bluff is one of the best-known natural features along the upper Mississippi River. It is significant for its geology, association with prehistoric and native peoples, and exploration in the early nineteenth century. Today, it remains a sacred site of the Bdewakantunwan Dakota Oyate of Prairie Island Indian Community.

The Cannon Valley Trail is built on a former Chicago Great Western Railroad line connecting the cities of Cannon Falls, Welch and Red Wing. This paved bicycling, hiking and inline skating trail is 19.7 miles of diverse and spectacular scenery. Paralleling the Cannon River, the Trail offers glimpses and panoramas of the valley and gradually descends 115 feet in elevation from Cannon Falls to Red Wing.
The Aliveo Military Museum has a significant collection of military artifacts such as military pistols, rifles, edged weapons, uniforms, insignia, badges, flags, and equipment. The collection includes relics and artifacts from the Revolutionary War, Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and the Cold War to the current Middle-East Wars. They even have a section on the Zulu/British War.
