FAQs

Question

Is there a ceremony?

Answer

In lieu of a traditional ceremony, we will be getting married at Chicago City Hall the morning of the 18th. While only immediate family will be able to join us, we can't wait to celebrate with our friends and extended families over dinner and during our reception!

Question

How and when should I RSVP?

Answer

Our formal invitations and RSVP instructions will be sent out in July. We ask that guests RSVP by the 18th of September so that we can give accurate information to our venue.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes! Kids are welcome to celebrate with us and we would love to have them there, but keep in mind that our event includes a four-course seated meal and a small reception with drinks and socializing. If you don't envision your child enjoying this experience, then there is absolutely no pressure for them to attend.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our dress code is Formal, meaning that we'd love for our guests to wear dark suits with white or light-colored shirts and ties, or midi to floor-length dresses. Please avoid white dresses or any colors that might appear white with camera flash. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Since Sepia is a private venue with a limited capacity, we are unfortunately unable to offer plus-ones that aren't already included on the invitation.

Question

What is Sepia?

Answer

Sepia is a Michelin-starred Chicago restaurant with a focus on local, seasonal ingredients and Contemporary American cuisine. We'll be celebrating in their private event space, which is a separate venue located a few doors down from the main restaurant.
