June 23, 2023 We shared a delicious dinner on our first date! June 25, 2023 On our second date, we hung out all day! We attended the Chicago Pride Parade (it rained and we had a blast), swam in Lake Michigan, and got to know more about one another! September 9, 2023 Madeline began an 8-week Stage Management contract in Milwaukee. We wrote letters to each other and took turns visiting one another on our days off. May 18, 2024 We moved in together! We loved no longer commuting 45 minutes to spend time together. Especially considering our opposite schedules of Nat’s 9-5 and Madeline’s freelance theatre gigs (lots of nights and weekends). June 23, 2024 We celebrated our first anniversary over a delicious dinner at one of Madeline’s favorite restaurants. March 1, 2025 Madeline proposed at the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Orchid Show because of Natalie’s love of plants. Nat said yes! May 24, 2025 Because of our love of the water, Natalie proposed to Madeline at the beach in Donostia/San Sebastián, Spain. Madeline said yes! Nat surprised Madeline by hiring a local photographer to capture the moment. We celebrated by jumping in the ocean together (surrounded by surfers) and eating delicious Spanish food!
