We’re aiming to be as eco-friendly as possible, so we appreciate you using the link in your email invite or using the RSVP tab above to respond online.
Please RSVP by March 31st.
Of course! We would love to have you join us but we understand it’s a tricky time of year and a far-off land for most. Please do what’s best for you and your family, and we look forward to seeing you when we can.
You can find this information on our Lodging & Travel page.
There will be limited parking available at Sweet Pea’s. Most of the lodging we’ve suggested on our Lodging & Travel page is intentionally walkable. We’ve also suggested a taxi service that you can try, but know that Ubers and Lyfts aren’t readily available on Mount Desert Island. If you must drive, please carpool and designate a driver. Maine Drinking & Driving laws are VERY strict and everyone (including the venue and the bartender) will get in trouble if you get pulled over (or worse). Don’t do it.
Pre-Memorial Day is a magical time to be in Acadia. Spring is springing and the hoards haven’t yet arrived. That being said, the wedding will be outside (with a tent) and the weather could go any which way. It could be chilly and rainy; it could be 65 and sunny. While we’ll hope for the latter, please be prepared for anything! Bring comfy, warm, waterproof clothes and shoes for the weekend and the wedding.
See the previous question! Our wedding will take place in a beautiful garden/field, so we’re going for ‘semi-fancy garden party’ – look your best but be comfortable! But if it happens to be rainy and cold, you’ll probably appreciate boots, scarves, etc. And of course, sparkles and boogie shoes highly encouraged. Either way, avoid stilettos and any type of pointy heel; you won't have a good time in the grass.
Not unless they were listed on your invite. Thanks for understanding!
We love your kids, and they are welcome if it’s right for you. Many of our parent-friends/family members are opting for a date weekend away. Others have newborns and they come as a package. Long story short, we'll leave the decision up to you. Please note whether you plan to bring your child(ren) on your RSVP!
We love your dogs, but sadly, they are not invited to the wedding. That being said, Acadia is one of the only dog-friendly National Parks in the country! So if you do want to bring them, you’ll have to check with your accommodations. And if you want to board them for any part of the weekend, we’ve had good luck with Acadia Woods Kennel (linked on our Tips & To-Dos page).
No. Please check out the Lodging & Travel page for some options nearby (many within walking distance or a short drive). Bar Harbor/Acadia accommodations can fill up quickly, so we highly recommend booking your stay as soon as you know if you’re able to join us.
Please note any dietary restrictions or allergies in your RSVP and Sweet Pea’s will do its best to accommodate.
Great question. A couple years ago on the same weekend, we went on a puffin tour and nailed the timing of their arrival to Maine. It was awesome. We recommend the Puffins & Lighthouses tour with Acadian Boat Tours.
Oh yeah.
You better believe it.
