Julie and I met at work back in December of 2020. Before that point, despite both of us having worked there a few years and even having friends in the same circle we never crossed paths, we probably wouldn't have if it weren't for Julie going for a supervisor position! We went on our first date in January, a daytrip from Mukilteo to Deception Pass and by the end of that date I knew that I wanted to keep seeing Julie. Shortly after that date she asked me to be her girlfriend, and then surprised me on my birthday in February with a trip to the Olympic Game farm, where we almost got snowed in. We moved in together in July of 2021, which was an ordeal, and at the end of the year Julie had been promoted to Corporate! I knew I wanted to marry her the day we found out our "sidewalk" was about to change. Even though I was mad and pitched a fit, she held my hand, told me we'd get through it together, and together we built a new schedule. All before we could even celebrate her own promotion. On our 1st anniversary, she picked out her own engagement ring (not knowing she actually was picking it). I proposed to her on June 11th, 2022, and since then it's been nothing but planning, budgeting, and dreaming of our day. There's no one I'd rather be standing next to.
