It's finally happening!

We originally met when our fraternity and sorority were put on the same team for UCA's All Greek Step Show. We spent countless hours together rehearsing routines, studied into the wee morning hours after rehearsals, and made way too many Taco Bell runs. Finally, on the night of the show, April 17, 2014, everyone put their all into it, and we won! Our immediate reaction was to run to each other, and that's basically when we knew we were in it for the long run. To this date, we always celebrate our anniversary on the date our team won Step Show!

On April 25, 2020, we were scheduled to attend a tea ceremony at the Dallas Botanical Gardens, but then the COVID-19 pandemic happened. Instead we scheduled a "birthday hike" for Joey on March 21, 2020 with our two close friends, Cory and Kate Moore. They were, of course, in on the whole plan and took loads of photos and a video of the whole thing. When we reached the peak of Pinnacle Mountain, Joey dropped to one knee and eventually got around to asking the question. Of course, it was an easy, "YES!"
