Maddy and Caroline met in junior year at American University at a club meeting. Caroline remembers spotting a buff girlie with a bag of Boom Chicka Pop and immediately thinking they should be friends. Ten years later, that instinct proved correct. Since then, they’ve stayed close through countless visits between Chicago and NYC and a friendship that always picks up right where it left off. Caroline is currently finishing her last semester of grad school at NYU studying clinical nutrition and dietetics. Outside of school, she loves lifting weights, cooking New York Times recipes, exploring New York City restaurants, going to movies at her Brooklyn neighborhood theater, and enthusiastically greeting every weenie dog she encounters. She couldn’t be happier to stand by her best friend’s side on June 20th.

~we were girls together~ Isabel “PROUDNESS” Rodriguez and Maddy have been friends since Ms Murphy’s kindergarten class. For decades isabel has wormed her way into the Giella family and is at most family dinners and holidays now. Isabel and Maddy share a love of true crime, travel and retelling the story of how they saw Zac Efron at Chateau Marmont when they were 16. Love you long time, Maddy.

Maddy is truly the older sister I never had. Thanks to our Dads playing football in college, our families have grown up side by side. We’ve shared holidays, annual trips, and so many of life’s biggest moments together. As the only two girls in a crew of 8 kids, we’ve always had a special connection that I’m so grateful for. I’m beyond excited to celebrate Maddy and Joe, and to keep our family traditions alive with lifelong memories and plenty of chaos!

Hi Everyone! I’m Maddy’s sister in law (married to her brother, Bryan). I’m a lover and collector of art (with a focus on emerging artists) working to open a small gallery in Chinatown, New York in the coming years. The majority of my career has been in the fashion industry, until I made the switch to tech where I now lead the paid influencer partnership program at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Outside of work, I love being outside, creating things and spending time with friends and family.

Maddy is my cousin and was born when I was 9 years old. Being her cousin has always felt like so much more—she’s truly like the little sister I never had. I’ve had the joy of watching her grow up into the incredible person she is today, and I couldn’t be prouder. Seeing her find this kind of love with Joe is so special, and I’m beyond happy to be a part of her wedding day and this beautiful new chapter in her life.
