It was 2020… and honestly, how else were you going to meet the love of your life during a global pandemic? Jake messaged first. Maddie responded. Then, Maddie ghosted Jake. Maddie reached back out—and just like that, a first date was born: ice cream and a walk around the University of Arizona campus. Our first kiss happened in the plaza by Centennial Hall, the very spot where Jake (5 years later!!!!) would get down on one knee and propose. It’s been a love story from the beginning full of family, friends, apple orchards, long runs, Netflix binges, concerts, and as many UofA games as possible.
