Madeline and Efren met on July 27th, 2019, at the Omaha Eppley Airport while waiting at the same departure terminal. What started as a small, kind gesture—Madeline offering Efren a piece of gum—turned into something more when she handed him her phone and asked him to put his number in. They stayed friends for a year and a half, talking and getting to know each other without rushing anything. When they finally went on their first date at the Bellevue Farmers Market, it felt easy and right. From that day on, they just clicked.
