It was June 23rd, 2018 and a beautiful clear day in Chicago. Their mutual friend, Dana, had organized a group of friends together to hang out before attending a music festival, and of those friends were Eddie and Madeline. From the moment she saw Eddie walk in the door with two bottles of warm champagne and he laid his eyes upon her orange camouflage pants, there was an immediate magnetism. In just a couple months Madeline would be moving there, and in a mere 24 hours Eddie would be leaving for good to move back home to New York City. That afternoon when Dana had to leave the festival early, Eddie stayed with Madeline. At the end of the night while sitting in the East Room, he asked if he could kiss her. Spoiler Alert: she eagerly said yes! They exchanged numbers and bid a farewell. Less than a month later, after exchanging many texts and phone calls, they agreed to meet in Chicago. It was a date. They instantly felt that they shared something special, and within a couple weeks Madeline flew out to visit him in New York City. It was during that first visit that she professed her love for him on the subway. Eddie smiled and immediately requited her love with his. Since then, they have continued to love each other fiercely through trials and distance, and are excited to embark on this next chapter together. Together, they now reside in Norwood/Bedford Park of the Bronx with their corgi, Marlo, and are committed to each other, their goals, and values.
