Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Madeline F and Dane A
For those who haven’t yet had the pleasure of traveling up the Northern California coastline or through its inland valleys, we highly encourage making a few stops along the way to explore some of our favorite spots. There are several routes to choose from, each offering its own unique scenery and charm. Whether you take the scenic coastal route up Highway 1 through Point Reyes, or opt for the more direct path through Anderson Valley and the Navarro Redwoods, you’ll find plenty of interesting places to visit. Below, we’ve listed some of our favorite stops worth checking out along the journey.

Point Reyes National Seashore

Point Reyes, CA

Stop by the dog-friendly Limantour Beach or hike out to the northernmost point of the seashore at Tomales Point. Point Reyes is full of incredible sights and is well worth the detour as you head out of the Bay Area. No trip to Point Reyes is complete without a stop at Palace Market for a cup of their buffalo milk soft serve.

Navarro Point Preserve and Scenic Trail

1401 Shoreline Highway, Albion, CA 95410

For a short hike down to a beautiful bluff with stunning views of the cliffs and the Pacific Ocean, Navarro Point is a perfect stop right off Highway 1, just north of where Highway 128 meets the coast. Top tier sunset viewing location!

Jumbo's Win Win

8651 California 128, Philo, CA 95466

Burgers. Brews. Soft serve. Need we say more?

Plank Coffee Cloverdale

227 North Cloverdale Boulevard, Cloverdale, CA 95425

Tasty baked goods, vegetarian and gluten-free options, great coffee make this a great stop on the way in or out of Caspar!
