FAQs

Question

Are photos allowed during the wedding Mass?

Answer

By request of the Bride and Groom, please refrain from all photos while inside the Church! Madeline's worst nightmare is seeing your devices and not your faces while she is walking up the aisle. We have a photographer who will capture all the special moments during the ceremony, and there will be plenty of time to snap your own photos at the reception!

Question

Who can receive the Eucharist during Mass?

Answer

The Eucharist is such an important part of our ceremony! Baptized Catholics who have received their first communion, are practicing the faith, and are not aware of having committed mortal sins since their last confession are able to receive the Eucharist. If this does not sound like you, you can either stay in your pew or come up with arms crossed over your chest for a blessing! Please note that there will be confessions the whole hour leading up to Mass.

Question

Is there parking at the Church and the reception venue?

Answer

Yes! Both locations have parking and there will be ushers and attendants to help guide you.

Question

Can I leave my car at the reception venue overnight?

Answer

Our venue allows cars to be left overnight but they must be picked up between 8 and 10 am the following day.

Question

Is there transportation between the hotels, ceremony, and reception?

Answer

No, there will not be any transportation provided in between the hotels, Church, or the reception venue, but there will be plenty of time between the events and lots of parking at both locations. Plus, ubers are cheap here in Nashville!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding is mostly indoors, though the cocktail hour will be held outside on a covered patio and open air lawn. There may be some walking on soft grass during this portion of the celebration, but can be avoided if your stilettos require that!

Question

What is the weather like in Nashville?

Answer

This far south it is already summer weather in May. The average temperature in late May is a high of 79 and a low of 57. The heat can be compounded by humidity, but all of the indoor venues blast air-conditioning to keep everyone comfortable.

Question

I have a dietary restriction - what should I do?

Answer

Vegetarian or gluten free? No worries - just contact the bride and groom (or their parents) and we can make sure there is a meal that you can enjoy.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Oh of course! The open bar includes beer, wine, and a few specialty cocktails. Please note that the venue does not allow shots or straight liquor.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP by scanning the QR code on the back of your invitation and entering the name of each guest invited (separately). Choose the "Edit RSVP" button to change your response if you need to decline. Alternatively, if technology is not your strongest suit, just give the bride or groom a call and we can record your response!

Question

My RSVP isn't working, what do I do?

Answer

Do not fear - just get in touch with the bride or groom and they can manually update your response!

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please let us know if you can attend by March 17th - which is St Patrick's day! So before you enjoy your first Guinness of the day, scan that QR code and reply.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately because of our long list of family and friends - and due to the size restrictions of the Church and our reception venue - we aren't able to allow for plus ones. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Yes kids are most welcome. We want your little ones there so much that we already added them to the invite list - just let us know if they will be coming along with an RSVP!

Question

I have kids along with me - can I still check out Broadway?

Answer

Absolutely - everyone can enjoy the music city and neon lights. Most bars on Broadway allow for all ages before a certain time (usually 6-8pm). After that a valid ID is required. Just check the timing of the particular spot you are trying to check out.

Question

Will there be a chance to learn how to line dance at the reception?

Answer
