Chris and Maddy met one night at a bar in Petaluma, CA, called the Hideaway. Maddy was in town for a friend’s birthday, and although Chris was living in San Francisco, something drew him back to his hometown for a night out. On the dance floor, a mutual friend gave them a little push toward each other, and the connection was instant. They dated for a few months until Chris finally mustered up the courage to ask Maddy to be his girlfriend. Just as they settled into this exciting new relationship, Covid changed everything. Overnight, they became each other's "quarantine crew," spending nearly every moment together and growing closer in ways they hadn’t imagined. By the end of 2020, they were so deeply in love that moving in together in San Francisco felt like the natural next step. In April 2022, they adopted their fur baby, Scout, from the SF Animal Shelter. Scout has been the biggest blessing in their lives, and— fun fact —he even helped Chris propose! When Chris got down on one knee, Scout came running in with a bandana that said, "Will you marry my dad?" It was the perfect addition to a beautiful moment they’ll never forget.
