FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

This will be a formal backyard wedding. Think dressy and polished, but also comfortable. Suits, cocktail dresses, and formal dresses are all welcome. Since the celebration will be outdoors, we recommend being mindful of heels and choosing shoes that work well on grass.

Question

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors at the bride’s parents’ home in Middletown, Maryland.

Question

What if it rains?

Answer

The celebration will go on rain or shine, with tented and covered areas available if needed. If rain is in the forecast, we may ask guests to bring their own umbrella (or tents!) just in case.

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

There will be limited on-site parking, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Since this will be a celebratory (and drinking!) event, we strongly recommend using Uber, Lyft, or another rideshare service.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Please refer to your invitation for guest details. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to us directly.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

We adore your children, but for safety reasons this will be an adults-only celebration allowing everyone to let loose and enjoy the evening!

Question

Will there be food and drinks?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be serving hors d’oeuvres and heavy appetizers along with George’s famous brisket. There will not be a formal sit-down dinner. Food and drinks will be plentiful, and we can’t wait to celebrate with good food, great company, and plenty of toasts.

Question

Is there a live band?

Answer

Yes — We’ll have a live band keeping the party going all night. Bring your dancing shoes!

Question

Is the pool open for swimming?

Answer

Although there is a swimming pool on the property, there will be absolutely no swimming during the event.

Question

Where is the place to visit while in town?

Answer

Downtown Frederick is the spot! Stroll along Market Street, pop into the cutest boutiques, grab a coffee, and don’t miss the local breweries and sweet little restaurants tucked around every corner. It’s small-town charm with big personality!
