it's time to celebrate!

When Brett and I started dating during the summer of 2015, I didn't realize how much I would not only love him but also love the lake. He thought he'd never find a girl who wanted to be at Lotawana more than him but after my first summer, I wanted to be there every second possible! Brett grew up in Lotawana and his parents still live on the lake all year round, so we get to spend a lot of time together and with those we love at the lake. To us, Lotawana means more than just fun on the lake. It is the background to many special moments, including our Fourth of July engagement in 2020! We can't count how many of our friends we met because of the lake in some way or another. The community has taught us how important it is to give back, not just to the community but in our relationship. The lake also brought our parents together and we couldn't be happier our parents have such a positive friendship with one another! We could keep going forever about how Lake Lotawana will never be just a lake to either of us, but in the end, we fell in love at the most beautiful lake and we will never forget a minute of the journey!
