Things To Do

Welcome to Fort Worth! Written by Karli We hope you enjoy your time in our city; here are some of the most popular places to visit and experience. This is just a taste of what there is to do, feel free to ask any of our local family for specific recommendations!

The Fort Worth Stockyards Historic District

Discover the heart of Texas with Western shopping, live music and authentic country dancing. Watch champion bull riders battle at world-class rodeos every Friday night, two-step to live country music in historic Billy Bob’s dance hall, and savor slow-smoked barbecue or crave-worthy Tex Mex at landmark restaurants. This National Historic District showcases twice daily longhorn cattle drives, artisan bootmakers and immersive Western experiences that transform visitors into true Texans, if only for a day!

The Fort Worth Cultural District

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, The Kimball Art Museum, The Amon Carter Museum of American Art, The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame are just a few of the attractions in this part of town with easy parking, lots of Welcome restaurants on and off West 7th, and plenty of free and family-friendly attractions, this is a great way to beat the Summer heat!

The Fort Worth Zoo

World renowned and beautiful, this is fun for all ages!

The Fort Worth Botanical Gardens

Beautiful and varied, this is a wonderful place to stroll. (Admission tickets are cheaper online!) There are also concerts and symphony events on Summer evenings.

Sundance Square

Live music on the square every Wednesday through Sunday evening, theater, comedy clubs, indoor and outdoor events, restaurants and bars, arts and crafts fairs, and shopping. Lots of public parking garages and valet parking throughout the city and very walkable!
