We're Getting Married!

We met on the dating app Hinge! This was actually Madeline's first dating app date and she was thankful Amol picked a very chill Sunday morning brunch at Mesa Maya downtown. Unfortunalty, Madeline already had brunch plans with co-workers that morning, but she thought, why can't I do both! So although she was around 30 minutes late and it was her second meal that morning, Amol waited and they hit it off. P.S. We also both thought the other looked better in real life than their Hinge profiles so there was no catfishing going on here!

Madeline invited Amol to her family lake house for Memorial Day weekend. It was just them and Madeline's parents. Amol made a comment early in the weekend about calling Madeline his girlfriend to a co-worker. Madeline replied with a witty comment about Amol needing to ask her to be his girlfriend before that could be true. Sunday morning, on the last day of the weekend, while floating by the boat dock at Possum Kingdom, Amol asked Madeline to be his girlfriend.

The weekend before Madeline started dental school, Amol planned a friend date to the Arboretum with Madeline's best friend. Although it was blisteringly hot, Amol found a nice shaded spot under a large oak tree and popped the question! He then planned months in advance to have both Madeline's brother, sister-in-law, and sister, fly in to be a part of an amazing engagement party with all of their family and friends to celebrate immediately afterwards.
